Rezume Nerds

How it works

Four things from you, about a minute of work, and a resume written for one specific posting.

  1. 1

    Paste the job posting

All of it, requirements list included. That list is where nearly all the signal lives, and it is the part people most often leave out.

  2. 2

Upload the resume you already have

PDF, Word or plain text. It does not need to be tidy or well written — that part is the job. A scanned image won't work, because there is no text in it to read.

  3. 3

Name the system, if you know it

It is usually visible in the application URL: myworkdayjobs.com, greenhouse.io, taleo.net. If you don't know, leave it alone. The default is built to survive all of them.

  4. 4

Download it as PDF and Word

About a minute. Both files carry identical text, and we tell you which one uploads more reliably for that employer.

What happens in that minute

First the posting is read and broken into the requirements a screener would actually filter on — the named tools, platforms, certifications and hard skills, along with the different spellings each might appear under.

Then your resume is rewritten against those requirements, using only what is already in your history. The draft is checked twice: once against the posting, to catch any sentence lifted from it, and once against your original resume, to catch any figure or employer that isn't yours. Anything flagged goes back to be rewritten.

If a required skill genuinely isn't in your background, it stays missing and we tell you so. Claiming it would win the screen and lose the interview.
